Culinary Art: Summer School in Austria
"Culinary Art - History and Marketing Strategies" is the title of this year's Summer School in Friesach, Austria. From 14th to 17th September 2010, you are invited to come to Friesach and learn more about medieval history, alimentation and marketing. Cooking like in medieval times and a guided visit in the city of Friesach will complete your stay in Carinthia. The participation is free of charge. Saint Mary's Abbey Vezzolano - Albugnano
The Abbey of Santa Maria di Vezzolano (St Mary of Vezzolano) is one of Piedmont’s best preserved ancient monuments. It stands at the bottom of one of the Monferrato region’s highest hills at the end of a minor road, which, as it passes alongside the Abbey, allows the visitor to gain ever more fascinating glimpses of the complex’s tower and main building before he or she finally arrives at its lovely facade.

Opening of an exhibition about TRANSROMANICA in Arnstadt
During the city festival from 3rd till 5th September, Arnstadt invitis its guests to enjoy the regional food, to celebrate with local music and to stroll around the streets of the old city centre.
Culture will also be a topic: on Saturday, 4th September at 10am in "Landratsamt", there will be an opening of an exhibition with photographs and drawings which were produced by pupils from the twin cities of Arnstadt and Gurk (Austria). Theme of the works is the European Cultural route TRANSROMANICA which crosses both regions.
